Kijiji is a must get item, if it were an item.
Definitely a great service, totally the best at it for many reason. The best way is just to try it and see for yourself.
As a tribute to the great service I will describe my experiences so far, and what I have successfully sold on the site.
Most items are ranging from very old to moderately old. Some were acquired for free as a hand-me-down or take it and fix if you can while others were purchased new when they were useful to me and not any more while the value drops on them at least getting them in someone's hands for a little money rather than the landfill feels good.
Some items got a buyer within 20 minutes of posting while others sit online for days, weeks or even months but as long as the free ad is still up I don't worry and someone finds it eventually!
Here are the items I have sold (so far):
- Tube TV (x2 - one about 27'' while the other 21''. didn't take too long)
- Boombox - stereo audio with cassette, CD and radio (x2 - both took weeks but sold eventually)
- VHS player (only one so far - took a while but didn't bother me once it was sold)
- Bicycle (broken chain, moderately fast)
- Laptop (x2 - one was fully broken while the other running but very old and slow, both went fast)
- Mattress (single sized, sold fast)
- Staple hammer tool (moderately fast sale)
- Bench press
- Cell phone
- more to come!
Items that still listing and trying to get rid of:
- Graphing calculator
- Lease transfer car
- Desktop computers
- VHS/DVD combo player
Let me know your thoughts, what have you sold on kijiji?
