Fido/Rogers login fail

So we have a great service on fido.ca which has many features, showing the billing summary and the calling/data usage summary incuding the minutes and bytes used (if you have a data plan).

The problem is that many times when trying to log in we get this message:
Sorry! Your request cannot be completed at this time due to a technical issue. We are currently working on a resolution and appreciate your patience. Please try again later.

The message I get from fido.ca sign in page, I think the service should be more available, longer hours not bound by 9-5 m-f mentality which rogers.com login page also seems to follow (reminder that Rogers owns Fido).

Let me know you thoughts, if you had those frustrations also and what have you done about them?
if you are representing fido or rogers/fido drop us a line for more information about these issues, or any comments on the matter.

Thanks!

#OccupyWallStreet Movement affects

Amazing how great the Occupy movement is and it's growing, it's here to stay, we will solve our issues one at a time and our life and world will be better because of this. This is the great movements of the time, the Zeitgeist if you will, and this is the road to a revolution. Things are changing as we move close to 2012 and this means the predictions of many entities (Nostradamus, Mayans, etc).

It's also funny how some media outlets have even come out with shows (a little prior the Occupy movement protests), they try to say how after a recession the CEO's felt a disconnect with their employees and common workers and wanted to connect back with them. Although the idea is great, in reality the show was always picking the greatest story of the staff or employee and putting them on this show's pedestal and rewarding them with great gifts. Well this is all fine and dandy but what about the rest of your struggling work force? The show is called "Undercover Boss" where the CEO/president (or other executive type) goes undercover to perform the tasks of the lower or lowest position possible in the company. This is often a very funny thing to watch as these old white (generally) try to do physical things or technical challenge for them and often they are very bad at this. This is how we see that our next generation is truly replacing the previous one and they simply can't keep up. This is why they have the need to bend rules their way with capitalism to live much better then we can but this of course a huge problem for us and we will take it to the streets. Funny enough there are many honest working elders that are joining the movement and speak out such as the major celebrities to show up like Michael More and Mike Myers to name a few, this along with great speakers and thinkers of our times are all found on youtube videos speaking at protests and even on Bill Maher's show on HBO.

Let me know your thoughts!

Humanity is sad

In so many ways!

Yes. I said it. Humanity is sad, and here's why (in no particular order):

1. Humans like to be entertained.
2. Humans don't care much about other humans [unless they are close relatives, fake close relatives (like gang members), or interested in sexually (or long term partners which make offsprings and the humans also seem to care a lot about their offsprings)].
3. Humans don't care about other animals [unless they are their own pets, cute looking wild life or looking to eat the animal in the future].
4. Humans don't care about non-living things [unless they "belong" to them, important to them or valuable in other ways (including monetary gain)].

All of the above are strong points, there is much convincing real life examples but of course there are exceptions within humanity that don't follow the above. Those are the different ones that truly make a difference, yet still overlooked by the rest whom the above applies.

The total sum of humanity is pathetic in the sense described and if other intelligent life forms existed close enough to our planet to reach us (or us reaching them) after understanding our recent societies I think humanity will be looked upon as a very sad humanity (unless of course their life would/could be even more pathetic).

Just ranting on this post but let me know what you think nevertheless.

Data plan VS voice plan

Always wanted to know what the real difference is between the two, and actually the pro's and con's of each. So here it goes.

Data Plan - Pro's:

  • Browse the internet anywhere
  • Ability to use free calling via the internet
Data Plan - Con's
  • $$$ - can be costly because you normally can't get it without the voice plan and contract
  • Free internet calling has a downside - no return phone number (outgoing only) *
  • Having internet everywhere can be stressful if you always available to email requests **
Voice Plan - Pro's
  • $$ - it is a little cheaper these days with some carriers plus shorter terms with the provider.
  • Normally get a free or much reduced cost for the actual phone ***
Voice Plan - Con's
  • If you have a data plan and use internet calling, there's really no need for the voice plan and is a waste of money.
  • $$$ - when you want the extra options such as caller ID or voice mail, they are all extra and can add up.
* Incoming phone number can be purchased for a low price
** Is this a legitimate con? I am asking you, the reader, if you have this plan on how stressful it really is because I never had this yet.
*** Also the phone doesn't need to be a "smart" one since you might not be using data
